So, the computer finally gets fixed.

I mustered up all my courage to go to the computer shop on the first free morning I've had for quite some time (What? I don't like computer shops because I always get so lost in the jargon and stuff) and the guy was actually damn nice. I swear I was holding my breath while he took apart my CPU because the older brother kept on telling me that if the entire motherboard was gone due to it being hit by lightning, it would be black and they would be able to tell, which would result to me having to pay for a whole new one.

(He also went over the top, telling me that my newly installed hard drive could have been struck too. -_-)

But thank God, my motherboard looked completely normal, and he replaced one for me for freeeee. I am eternally grateful to the nice people at Computer Wars.

Oh, and a random fact - Computer Wars in SS2 actually not only sells computer parts and fixes technical issues with your computer, they also sell...fish. I'm not kidding. There's this freezer in the backroom and they sell fish. Totally random, but true. I was told that it's cheaper AND fresher than what you get at the markets. Heh.

You also know what's totally, totally random?

See, most of you would probably already know that I'm a Daughtry fan. I've been trying to get tickets since forever and I have miserably failed. Stupid Sony Ericsson and their stupid gimmick shit, not letting us buy tickets. Imagine how much money they would make if they had put tickets up for sale?

Still my favourite Idol contestant ever, I think.

And doesn't Chris Daughtry deserve to have true fans at his first ever Malaysia concert (*coughlikemecough*) instead of random people who just so happened to buy a stupid Walkman phone and won 2 random tickets? :((((

But no, wait. That's not the random part. The random part is that I've been trying and trying to win Daughtry tickets that I really, really want. Instead, I win tickets I wasn't even trying to win.

Yes, that's right. I won 2 tickets to go see Chelsea Live in Malaysia. WTF. The result is of course, one very happy Mary Tan. I can't believe I'm going to see Chelsea before I see my Manchester United. Oh well, I suppose it'll be worth it for the England players, but still... And I can't even get Daughtry tickets. Pfft.

Does anyone have a brother, sister, uncle, auntie, cousin, best friend, neighbour, church friend, classmate, relative working in Sony Ericsson?

I swear the world hates me.

Nothing, and I repeat, nothing has been going right since Monday. Talk about starting the semester off on the wrong foot.

First thing Monday morning, I trip on an uneven piece of parquet and slice off skin the size of a 5 cent coin off the sole of my right foot. If you think 5 cent is small, try tripping yourself. Hurts like a bitch.

Fine. Happens to me all the time. You can't really avoid tripping when you're as clumsy as I am. Hopped around looking for a plaster, grabbed my stuff and left for ridiculously early Company Law class.

But no, it doesn't just stop there. Because of some rally shit, and roadblocks due to that, the LDP was at a snail's pace thanks to the turn-off before the cable bridge to the Federal Highway. Gee, thanks, political happenings. Not only is it not fun to drive at a pace slower than that of a turtle's, it's even worse accelerating and braking every second with a bleeding foot that has lost a 5 cent coin sized piece of skin.

So fine, thanks to that, I was twenty minutes late for first day of class.

Got stuck in another jam for an hour on the way home again and nearly starved to death. The biggest blow of all was when I realised that my computer wouldn't switch on again. Fucking hell. That was it. I had really fucking had it by then. I'd just changed the fucking motherboard two weeks ago and now it's probably fried again. Fuck tropical monsoon rain and fuck useless lightning arresters. Had to buy a new modem too yesterday, but then, for some reason, the wireless works on everybody else's laptops in the family but mine. Still won't work, and I. am. bloody. pissed.

Was another twenty minutes late for lecture yesterday due to an appointment running late, and then found out that the first major assignment is due two or three days after my birthday, with the first minor assignment due next week. Wtf.

And yes, the icing on the cake is that the stupid niggling dry cough for the past week has turned into something more full-fledged now.

There have been the other little things the past two days as well, but honestly, if I list them all down, I probably won't feel any better. I'm still bloody annoyed.

Oh, and if you want to tell me I'm being a baby about this all, or want to give me some useless advice? Don't bother. I've been told I'm really not a nice person when I'm pissed.

So yes, I don't remember a time when I've been in a foul-er mood. The rest of the semester better not be like this.

Hello everyone! That is, if anyone still comes around. Heh.

Don't worry, I'm still very much alive and kicking and...broke. I'm loving the holidays but only a money-growing tree magically sprouting in a corner of my bedroom could help me right now.

Anyway, to get the depressing stuff out of the way, the Investments & Portfolio Management paper was shit. Absolute and utter shit. I have never felt so low in my life after a certain paper. Performance Measurement last sem in Caulfield, which was my last paper then, had me walking through Chadstone with no mood to shop (and yes, as some of you might know, especially the ex-housemates, the magnitude of that. I ~~don't~~ barely ever leave Chadstone empty-handed). Investments... made me cry after that at home. And I don't even ever cry over exams. I only cry at sad movies. I even cried over Brother Bear (Shut up and stop laughing; I can hear you okay). But never exams.

So yes, it was shit. If I cannot be contacted at all on results day, 10th or 11th July, I might be floating face-up in some river somewhere after jumping off the river bank or some bridge. (Why face-up? Because apparently, when women drown they float face-up while men float face-down - I read it some 'why women are superior to men' article. Heh.)

But, enough depressing stuff.

It seems like the whole world is turning 21 around me. Mary, Amanda, Mary Ann and today, Jo. (Which btw, happy birthday dearrrr JOWENGGGG. Sorry we had to leave so early last night.

Darling Mary turned 21 the day after my last paper, so obviously, it was a birthday countdown-celebration of freedom-girl's night out-stress releasing party of sorts.

Dua-puluh-satu sudahhhhhh. :D

Sanctuary's a pretty place, but way way WAYYYY packed. I quite liked their mix of music too, but I think I was the only one. Heh.

Dear Mary Ann turned 21 on the 29th of June too! Happy birthday babe :) We have yet to celebrate crazily, hee.

And after the flaming came, there was a severe lack of pictures because we had our hands full. Hee. But but but they ended the night with Chris Brown's With You. :)

We didn't quite get enough of the song, so all the way back in the car, we screamed it out loud with the windows wound down, wind in our hair, and song playing from Mary's Sony Ericsson.

Mamak-ed, and then Siokkwan and I tumbled back to the very-polite-but-stubborn-when-high-birthday girl's place, bathed, and the three of us giggled over the 300 or so pictures snapped (Yes, I know, I'm damn snap-happy.) till about 6 and finally knocked off. By the time we woke up, had a late lunch, we were still sore all over from the previous night's activities and so...

WE WENT TO A REFLEXOLOGY CENTER. LOL.

Being rather excited before our first reflexology treatment. Lol.

We went to this place called Bigfoot in SS2 and I don't remember exactly how much it cost, but somewhere less than RM 50 for an hour's reflexology foot massage and shoulder massage. And it felt SO good. All the heel-wearing and dancing effects from the night before were massaged away.

Of course, we looked (and probably sounded) so out of place. There were these other two aunties calmly sipping on hot tea looking over at us each time one of us giggled because it was ticklish, or yelped because it was too painful. They probably weren't too happy with us. It was pretty funny too because the people massaging us were all from China and couldn't speak Cantonese let alone English, so it was a chicken-duck situation.

Us: (giggle giggle giggle giggle)
Them: (laughing at us quizzically) Sherr muoo shihhh? (complete with the thick China-Mandarin accent)
Us: Err.. err.. hen geli ahh. (giggle giggle giggle somemore)

Them: (raised eyebrow, still laughing at us) Sherrr muo shihhh gerr lik?

We later find out that geli in Mandarin is 'yang'. Lol.

But it was all worth it; that night's sleep after the reflexology was one of the best I've ever had in ages.
