After that last week of utter pain, I am proud to say that I went to the dentist this morning to get my stitches removed and feel so much better already. It was a bit scary to feel her snipping away in my mouth and then tugging at the thread (or whatever schmancy term they have for medical thread) but hell, it's over. And I feel like a (poorer) heroine for going through all that. Yay me!
Oh, and then as I left, she casually mentioned, "Eh I just saw your x-ray, not sure if the teeth are out in your mouth yet but I saw all your wisdom teeth in the x-ray. So don't worry, you solved one already."
WTFFFFFF. GREAT. How come I'm not feeling all the extra wisdom I should be getting?
Anyway, have been working for about a month plus and so far it's okay. I really don't see myself being here all that long, but it's a slow and steady learning process. I never really thought myself as the super high-flyer ambitious type but sometimes at work I find myself wondering how some of them can stay so stagnant with their jobs for life. Guess we're just all made from different moulds. I brought pictures to work to place in my cubicle and as I was looking for pictures to bring, I realise all our really nice group pictures are either in clubs and/or have alcohol in them. Shit. Tell me, what does that say about us, my dear friends?
Random pictures from everywhere because I feel like remembering these moments ten years down the road.
Jayden and I at his first ever birthday party, him looking oh-so-metrosexual in his pink and dark blue striped polo and pink pacifier to match. Heh. He got a new blue pacifier today to further enhance his manhood because this pink one was getting too worn out and he HATES it. It's quite funny. He holds it, and tests it for about a second in his mouth and promptly spits it out and does it over and over and over again.
BabyGap for the one year old, yo.
The incomplete group of uni people at Kiara a few months back, I think. After which we left to Elaine's place for Taboo and proceed to thrash the guys asses' at it. Hee.
I'm training the little one in camwhoring. Amelia goes to this song-and-dance class at Yamaha on Saturdays with Su where they just basically do all sort of fun stuff and help develop the creative side of children. So there was this Saturday where they had to bring pictures of the little one for some game, and when they flashed her picture on the screen, the vain girl shouts out, "AMELIAA PREEEEEETTTTYYYYYY!"
Su must've been mortified :D
There, that's better. :)
Funny sign in a bar which as I was reading, attracted a drunk guy to come up to me to tell me that it was impossible to keep husbands from looking at foreign women. Heh.
Admit, somemore. Tsk.
HAHAHA that face!
Back then I still had time to camwhore at work to MMS the boyfriend for the purposes of illustrating my bad hair day. Work is most definitely not so idle anymore :(
This how we recuperate after a busy week at work/class. BarClub two Saturdays ago because the Uniten boyband was off from exams.
And look closely and you'll see that Jayden has his first pair in the room! Hee, the kid can wobble around so quickly in his shoes these days.
This one's for you, Zhen Han! I'm sure everyone knows why.
Joshua's super cool 8th birthday cake. Ben10 AND PSP. Possibly his two favourite things in the world.
ZOMG DAMN PUNK. :D
"GASP! o.O"
"DOUBLE GASP! o.O"
"TRIIIPLE GASPPPP! o.O"
HAHAHAHHA so adorable. I don't even remember why he was doing it.
xoxo.

And then tries to stuff the new blue manly pacifier into his Wen Kor's mouth because he's decided he still hates it. -__-

There, I'm all picture-d out. It's nice to just take some time off and walk through these pictures again. It hasn't been that long, I think most if not all are from 2009; but still, memories are somehow clearer when they are eternalised in snapshots. It's been a good night. :)
Apparently, I'm to be off to a day-road-trip to Melaka with the uni peeps tomorrow. Satay celup. /drools all over keyboard.

WTF WISDOM TOOTH SURGERY IS DAMN FUCKING PAINFUL.
As if the swelling and pain I've endured over the past two days is not enough, the dentist said I had to do a minor operation on it when I went just now.
Four jabs with damn long needles, cutting open my gums, pulling at the bloody wisdom teeth and then sewing it back together. I took one look at the first needle and my eyes remained shut for the rest of the surgery. Didn't even dare to look at my wisdom tooth because I saw blood all over the dentist's gloves. Thankfully this dentist was pretty cool, there was Fly.fm playing throughout so I had music to keep me company while I was sweating in the dentist's chair. Omg. Never in my life do I want to go through this again.
And now the local anesthesia is wearing off so it's damn painful again. :'( Painkillers are going to be my best friend for the next couple of days.
Oh and I'm also RM700 poorer because of this, plus my face looks like a bloody watermelon because of the swelling. And I'm also hungry. SOMEONE KILL ME NOW PLEASE.

I’m blogging at work into a Word doc to look a bit more inconspicuous at my cubicle. Stealth, ain’t I? Hee.
Yes, I’ve got a full time job already. But no, I don’t think I’m going to be talking about it much here. The Internet, as much as we frequent it and Facebook with it, is a scary tool and I’m pretty sure I don’t want my boss googling the company’s name or a project we’re working on and be led to my blog from searches. That would be scary. Especially if I’m being extra bitchy about things. Heh. And I certainly don’t want them to see my innermost (Well, as innermost as the blog gets anyway.) thoughts, hosts of pictures of what I do in my personal time…and camwhore pictures. :-S How bad would that be?
So what’s been up? Work has been very routine thus far. I keep on telling myself it’s just a matter of time before I manage to adjust from a twelve hour per week class schedule, to four month bumming-about holiday, to now an 8:30 am – 6:00 pm day, five days a week. I surely hope so. The first week I was constantly tired straight after work despite doing nothing, but now it’s a lot better.
And some people may think I'm nuts, but I miss Monash. Crazy as that sounds.
The weekend yesterday and the day before was crazily tiring but very fulfilling. The best friends and I slaved away Saturday morning onwards right through to the wee hours of Sunday morning and stood around for about eight hours for xoxo.chic at the 3K Inn Bazaar. I kinda don’t want to look at our stock for about another week or something like that, but the experience of our first offline sale at a bazaar was all very exciting. It was all worth it in the end because customers looked happy with their purchases, people walking past and saying how pretty our stuff were, and after the first very emo and slow hour, I think we all were really having fun with what we were doing. Extra thank-yous to Ed the full-time mirror boy, Adam the part-time mirror boy, Josh the name card boy and Sarah, the sweetest ever voluntary helper we could have had. And Yin, Kim, MT and Laura who dropped by :)
xoxo.chic's little corner. (Which got so crowded during peak hours! And which of course, made us very happy. Oh and I would also like to proudly mention that the three of us independently assembled our very-sturdy-racks all by ourselves without any male assistance :P)
Our double rack which holds the dresses and dressier tops.
Part time mirror boy who enjoyed his work a lot more than he should have. Ahem.
Mary's parents came by when it was our busiest yet so he got tons of pictures for when our booth was packed. The above ones are during times when we were free to take a breather, laugh about stupid things and try to bargain with our next door neighbours on discounts for tee-shirts. Heh.
So nights this week are going to be for me to slowly catch up my TVB EU drama, get enough shut-eye and nurse my poor sore throat. Of course this is whilst the boyfriend works his five-day work shifts, possibly even gathering enough anecdotes and oddities to be able to write a book called The Memoirs and Pains of a Tray-Wielding Part-Time Waiter or something along those lines after all this is over; and whilst the best friends and I take a well-deserved break from the clothes in our stock. Haha.
This came in the email recently cause I think I'm on their mailing list. It's so rare to see Bobbi Brown not in neutral earthy tones. Such happy-pappy colours! I wantttt. Should I splurge on this with the first paycheck? Eep. Then again, maybe not. That's one whole large chunk gone. Maybe it'll have to wait till I pamper myself after a year's of working or something. :(

And since I'm being self indulgent, I also want to watch this! Movie adaptations never really quite work out as well as they'd all like and even though it's chick-lit there was so much going on in this first book that they'll never be able to be true to it. Will they even manage to portray the endearing ditziness of Becky Bloomwood and the mega perfect strapping tall dark handsome amazingly perfect Luke Brandon properly?
And because it would be awful to force a guy to watch two chick flicks in a row, I also want to watch this one. I watched the very first one with these original four on some crappy DVD from pasar malam (Yes, it was that long ago.) and then skipped the next two cause they looked really stupid. Heh. Second brother kept on replaying the trailer to this one that other day so now I'm excited to see it.
I think have to work this weekend cause it's the half-year closing stocktake...so I can now only look forward to next weekend sigh :'(

Sitting on mummy while she explains the concept
of a leap year with a diagram in New Straits Times.
Lego blocks
and sewing five stones with a plate of rice on my lap
Wynonna Judd on the tv.
Wearing new white stockings and black boots and feeling oh-so-pretty
walking with a skip in my step
while a lady nudged her boyfriend to look at me.
Fish nuggets
from the Fish Shop
doused in chilli sauce and tartar cream.
Sitting near the back of kindergarten
with a lost pal named Eugene.
Both hands on the handlebar
in a pink minibus
darting in and out of kl traffic
with sister in law.
Wearing a new dress
sometime in January nine-five
brother married sister-in-law
on stage for the first time
mic in hand
Elton John's Can You Feel The Love Tonight
the first two lines of the first stanza eluded me
I bravely resumed singing. Little did I know
I would be on stage many more times.
School was flooded in the first year
balancing, walking along precariously on canteen benches like ballerinas
with thoroughly soaked socks and shoes.
There was no fourth,
left old friends behind
and made new ones that would be kept for life.
Turqoise pinafores, rolled-up baju kurung sleeves
Leo vests, unflattering PBSM berets
being thrown and abused around a drama competition stage
noisiest class in F3,
with all the boys being punished
narrowly escaped.
Worried after the streaming
but
Cempaka turned out to be the best years of my life.
From MUFY corridors to the student council room
and back and forth again
stressful times
many late meetings
a bunch of amazingly diverse and warm people
shuddering at Maths B
good times good times.
On a jetplane
to the Land Down Under
new faces,
new acquaintances made,
old acquaintances strengthened
sights and sounds, smells and shops, the sun sea sand; and saccharine memories
Late night conversations
5 o'clock strolls
from the library to the carpark
your heart beating beneath my cheek,
in Love.
Three years
Tiresome moments
precious exchanges
the long sittings in freezing lecture theatres
averting tutors' watchful eyes as they await answers
newly wrapped books
cradled in my right arm
fresh clean white notebooks
and blue neat printing evolving to scribbles as the semester flies by
rainbow swipes of Stabilo highlighters
watching the sun go down, cross-legged in the library
a folder blocking the screen
while WES loads
happy tears.
And now,
about to start the next chapter
afraid and anxious
excited and hopeful,
earning my way
learning my way
in this crazybeautiful thing we call life.

Because it ain't official till its on Facebook, is that so? Now all the random guys from as far as Chicago can stop adding me on Facebook, thank you very much.

Now, there we go. It took me awhile but I finally switched it, okay! Look at all the happy commenters who already knew yonks ago anyway. -__-
Last night's talk in the car only reiterated to me how much I love you. Thank you for everything, dear; it's been a beautiful three months. I know we'll make time for each other once work starts. I just know. :)
xoxo
