...I refuse to spell it like Ke$ha does.

Anyway, random bowl of thoughts running all over the place. Probably not the most cohesive, but I suddenly felt like typing something into this little Blogger window of mine. And because I'm not the most rampant updater, I must strike while the iron is hot. Lol.

Gosh, how time flies.

Time really plays these cheeky tricks. You feel like you're toiling through each day, counting down to the end of the day or the end of that week. But when you're being all reflective, it suddenly dawns on you that it's already a-third into the third month of the year. At the end of this month, we'll have completed our first quarter.

We're also not getting any younger, but that's a different story.

My point is, most of us are in desk jobs. We get so caught up with our daily tasks, the mundane routine of operations, caught up in various projects, attending a gazillion and one meetings. We slog through the day thinking, "Damn, it's only Monday" or "Bloody hell, it's only Wednesday?!"

We play up a storm during the weekends because every second is so important and absolutely cannot be wasted. And before you know it, more often than not, the weekend rolls around like an F1 car and the dreaded Monday looms ahead.

It's so difficult to get through the week and yet it feels like the years fly past you. Before you know it we'll be making New Year Eve countdown plans again.

I think we need to stop at the yellow lights and take a look around. Breathe in and out. Think about how cherished you are to the people around you. Express love. Remember that when you're counting down the minutes on a hated weekday, you're also one step nearer to the end of the year. I don't want to be too distracted with just getting through the week only to look back and see that I haven't achieved anything.

Don't get caught up with counting down that you forget what counts.
