I was sitting on my bed with the nice leftover air-con air still left in my room and suddenly my mind drifted to... what I was going to have for dinner, you see. Weekend dinners in my family are a usually a daddy-goes-out-to-wai-sek-kai-and-tapaus-dinner affair and because I'm strangely quite rigid with Wai Sek Kai food, I only always either end up having some mushroom sauce chicken chop or Indian mamak mee fried by a Chinese dude. HAHA I know, how strange.
So, while I was choosing between my myriad of two choices, my cannot sit still mind moved further along to... ice cream. And suddenly I feel like eating cookies and cream ice cream. (Which in case you didn't know, is THE favourite flavour of all timeee. Unless of course I'm in Melbourne, then I'll gladly forego my love of cookies and cream for Freddos on Lygon's Roche ice cream mmmm yummm)
It's been an hour, the mother has come into the room and asked me all sorts of curious questions and has exited to take her afternoon nap since, and I'm still craving cookies and cream ice cream. And it really cannot just be any type you know. Baskin Robbin's cookie bits in their cookies and cream ice cream is too hard. It's gotta be just soft and nice and obviously not too sweet.

Sigh and because I'm such a masochist like that, I decided to further torture myself and started googling cookies and cream pictures. (HAHAH now you're craving cookies and cream too right? And decided on joining me in my quest to find the perfect cookies and cream ice cream in the whole wide world! RIGHT?)
There's even a Wikipedia entry devoted to cookies and cream! Okay so almost everything has a Wikipedia page these days, but still.. to cookies and cream? Heh.
That was possibly the most useless blog post I've ever had. Pfft.

Auditing and Assurance paper is tomorrow morning with Treasury Management the afternoon after, I am stressed, tired, pimply and all of a sudden I have an inexplicable urge to... bake cookies. Ehhh. I know I usually have random cravings but baking cookies the day before exams is not going to get fulfilled. (Along with my urge to eat plain toasted bread at 1 a.m. this morning -_-).
Something tells me I'm going to be very mafan with heightened cravings when I'm pregnant next time. Lol.
6 days to go, 3 papers. Zzzzz. I CANNOT WAIT. Birthdays! Shopping! xoxo.chic! People from Australia coming home! My social life back! Beauty sleep! Many many episodes of One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl and TVB to catch up on! More shopping!Being broke! Quality family and friend time! Lazing around doing absolutely nothing and not feel guilty! EXAMMMMMS. 13 - 18 June.
The only bright spot in all this is that I'll finish right in time for Mary's 21st. Hee. Dual celebration in style, for sure.
To make things worse, I had a day-long craving for Maybank nasi lemak doused with their awesome sambal all day. Drove there after class, and as usual got stuck in the rush hour jam. Kept on dreaming of the nasi lemak and fried chicken and sped to Sea Park after I got off the LDP.
And it was closed.
WTF. :((((((
I have never seen the Maybank mamak closed. Everrrr. Emooo-ed in the car, staring at the closed mamak and their stacked chairs in disbelief and wondered if I should drive to Uptown for that other awesome nasi lemak but then decided that the traffic would be insane. Drove home very very upset. Lol.
This makes me all the more determined to tapau it later for dinner. A girl's gotta have her fuel to continue all the textbook cramming, and today, mine comes in the form of Maybank nasi lemak.
I can't believe I just typed up a whole entry about nasi lemak. I swear it's the stress.

Didn't manage to catch the repeat of the finale because I was at Pyramid with the uni gang so Youtube it is!
I still love them both. Thought little David did better at the finale, but still Simon said it best when he said that for the first time, he didn't really care who won because they're so deserving.
EEEEEEEE. They did Heaven. Way to go to melt me. And millions of girls all around the world (And I think Zhen Han melted too because he actually said that after one of Cook's performances, I forgot which. -__-" And yes for those of you who don't know, he is a guy. Nice to know that Cook has that kind of power over guys too right. Adam, you better be careful of your best friend - you might be making him melt every time we go Red Box. :-S).
Oh oh oh and look! My Michael Johns, the Aussie. Who really should've made it further. I hate you, America.
(But well, I've already had a big enough dilemma with Archie vs Cook. Imagine if we had a Davids and Michael Johns top three. *faints*)
For DC fans, this is super funny. Makes him all the more endearing. :)
LOLLL. Archie is super cute in this one and the Davids seem like they get along well with one another.
OMG BAHAHAHAHAHAH THIS IS DAMN FUNNY CAN DIE.
Cook and Archie doing an ad for Guitar Hero (which looks so cool btw, they always show it on OTH). Omg, I wonder how many takes it took shy and innocent Archie to do that. Lol.
Duetting on Chad Kroeger's Hero. Aww. The harmonies. And can I just say how much hotter Cook grew? HOT. I was re-watching the auditions and I have to say a big big thank you to the Idol stylists. Heh.
p/s: Oi, PANG WEI SOON in Moscow, are you serious about having watched the Champions League finals livee? PICTURES, I WANT PICTURESSSS.

Moolahh. ;)
A pair of low sling-backs, preferably wedges, peep-toe style, and in white. Because I've looked high and low, and left and right, and they still elude me. Boo.
The double.
A charm-bracelet with charms that actually hold some significance to me.
A Manchester United jersey which I've lusted after for years but always put aside due to its hefty price.
To have a finished lending decisions assignment appear out of nowhere. Or at least a strong sense of concentration and determination to finish the damn thing and not kill myself while trying to do it. I'm struggling, and being disturbed (or having the urge to write anything non-academic related, for that matter) is not helping, especially not when I have an IBF test tomorrow as well.
I want to watch Ironman, dammit. Which now looks like will have to wait until the older brother gets the dvd.
To possess a semblance of child-like innocence again.Although, this might never be possible.
My old mp3 player is falling apart so,a new mp3 player of any kind. I'm not choosy. Oh, who am I kidding. Of course I'm choosy. I want an iPod. :P
18th June, the end of finals, to come.
To know what I really want out of all this university torture. Because I really still don't. And to be honest, it scares me.

Here's to never growing up.
You know, back when I was doing temp work as a telemarketer, I kept on telling myself that studying was so much more fun. Going to work was such a drag sometimes. My brothers, sister, sis-in-laws, everyone else who has left the school benches and the uni lockers behind them to enter the working world, has told me the exact same thing.
"Enjoy your schooling life. You will wish you could go back once you graduate."
Then how come right now, when I have to start studying, and present some thingy on banks tomorrow, I feel differently? Urgh. Right now, I can't wait till I put on that large robe which looks like a garbage bag, toss on a square hat on my head and take some super cheesy photo with a super cheesy smile holding a scroll with a red ribbon. Work seems a lot more fun.
It's a lose-lose situation. The conclusion? Don't do either.
HEH. If only I was a gazillion-billionaire.
*dreams and falls down hard on my butt*
Human nature's a funny thing. You always want what you can't have, no?
In non-related news: I wantttttttttttt the SE Z610i. :D So pweettty.

I hate ball pens. Little no-good useless things. They NEVER work for me. Blah. *glares at all the ball pens in the world*
My whole family went off to Genting for lunch and I'm stuck here at home alone. Boo bloody hoo.

Ain't she adorable?
I feel like eating cookies and cream ice-cream. There's none in the freezer. :(
I am the clumsiest person in the world. I pokai-ed on the stairs that day, omg. So bloody embarassing and painful to the knees and ego. Dropped my books and papers over the stairs and stupid girls behind me didn't even come to help. That scene where some hot charming guy comes and helps you up? Totally only exists in movies. Darren kept on calling me Pokai Girl that day. -_-"
I'm almost done reading Accounting theories, but I have a looooong way to go in terms of practicing questions. Boo.
Ooh. But One Tree Hill was so good. Some creepy shit going on with Peyton's brother. I can't wait for next week, but blah. I'm having exams next week.
I'm pretty sure I should be studying right now.
Manchester United vs. Liverpool tonight! Eek, I hope Gary is okay to play. We better win this one!
I love everyone I know. Okay, such an overgeneralisation, because I know bitches and assholes and I don't love them. But in this case, people I know is just confined to people I know well. Why does it? Because I say so. And yes, that means you and you and you and you and you and you and you and you and you. Family. Friends. You know. Ehh, reading that sentence back made me go WTF. I confuse myself. Random as hell.
I downloaded Christmas songs. Hee. Christmassy songs makes me feel uber happy.
I'm actually getting rather excited at the prospect of going to Australia next year. That is, if I get selected. I'm probably getting way too worked up for my own good, because it's going to feel like pure shit if I don't get it. But I'm excited.

Welcome to my mess.

Welcome to my mess, part 2.

Hi, meet my Accounting handbook.

This is what I stare at when nothing's going into my head.

My idea of motivation. Maybe if I stare at it long enough, it'll actually happen.

And my bible quotes there on the side.

Ching's note that came with the cookies she gave me. That last line reads: 'For best results, use with academic texts and references regularly =P' I adore my best friend. She's awesome. You should be jealous of me.

Macroeconomics. Check out my stationery collection at the side there. LOL.

Eeek. Look at that colour of god knows what. My mother seems to think that by drinking this leong sum sou whatchamacalit, my brain will absorb information better. Oh, joy. The downside? It's some murky bitter stuff. Ack.

So I have a cup of that thing, and another cup of Coke to wash it down.

I went for a break, watched a little tv, had lunch and when I came back, my cup of Coke was miraculously refilled with more bitterjuice! My mother is so sneaky. Hee.

The eight of us went to a buka-puasa thing the previous week. And look at the mountains of food we bought. Stuffed ourselves silly... and then went out to the park to play with fireworks. We're big kids.
Stole the rest of the pics off Marcus' friendster, because I haven't gotten the pics from Mary yet.

Marcus paedophile-ing my niece.

Us: Vanessa, why you like Marcus kor kor?
Vanessa: *pauses and then says in a tiny sweet voice* Because Marcus kor kor handsome boy.
Us: *speechless*
Where in the world did she learn that from?

The kids and their new toys. :P

If you want any of their numbers, ask me. Heh.
Psst: Woi Nick, why you go and semi-smile and look at the camera? Fail. Where's the yeng-pose?

The three vainpots.

Ooh if you have the latest issue of Reader's Digest, there's Su and Joshua in an article about Tetra Pak! :D
Random quote-
Me: So, boy, you think you can get number what in class? If you get top ten, I buy you ice cream, okay?
Aaron: Errr, I think I get number two, or number one, or number three, or number five or number eleven.
Me: ?!
Random-ness runs in our veins, I tell you.
So much for spending my Sunday studying, eh?
I missssssssss youuuuuuu allllllllllllllll!

Home comp is behaving and I can once again blog from the confines of my messy room. Or as I've begun to call it: my room with the condominiums of junk.
Had a horrible crave for ais kacang yesterday. I think it was thanks to Bryan who was talking about it the day before while we had lunch in Pink's. Although he was telling us about this ais kacang seller who was gross and unhygenic, it made me felt like eating it somehow. LOL. I know that sounds really really weird, but it's not as weird as it sounds. Really. So I had one bowl at lunch in Medan which can't really be classified as ais kacang because it ONLY had cendol and kidney beans and loadsa ice with the usual syrup-y toppings.
We went to Asia Cafe after that for a few rounds of pool and foosball; and I think I'm slowly improving. I think. The unsatisfied me ordered another bowl of ais kacang and wheeeee! It had atapchee. But it also had ice-cream and nata de coco in it, which is so not authentic ais kacang. So I'm still not satisfied. Oh no. I need the ais kacang from the Selera Malam in SS2. Come come come, let's go, anyone?
Went to college again today [I don't think I'm going to ever start calling it uni, because that sounds WEIRD.] and sat through the course advice session. I'm going to have to make up my mind up very very soon about my major. What I want to major in, what I want to do in the future, whether I should double-major, what electives to take, and the list just unravels on and on. Life's just a neverending blast of questions, huh?
Met up with Xue and Ming after that, and crapped our way through the day. Sat in the SSD and Wenxue pretty much entertained the both of us. Stayed till it was time for the new student council meeting. It's pretty amusing to people-watch. I know we're judging all of them just by this meeting alone and solely based on first impressions, but well, isn't that how things are? You are constantly being judged and perceived on first impressions, how you carry yourself, the confidence and poise in which you speak.
Wish the new council all the best. And to our council: I miss you guys. Where the heck have you all been? As of today, we have no more council room! =(
I. Have. Finally. Found. The. DVD. I. Want! I have been looking high and low, literally, for Prime. I've wanted to watch it so, so, so badly ever since I read online in the middle of last year that Bryan Greenberg was in it. Who is he? He's hot. All you need to know. He was on One Tree Hill, so basically yeah, that means he's awesome. Anything to do with One Tree Hill is automatically awesome.
Bugger to that bleeping Monash portal who still won't let me log in. Ugh. I am most definitely skipping that study skills workshop thingy tomorrow. No way am I going to sit around to listen to some random dude preach to me on how I should manage my time. I'm doing fine by myself, thank you very much.
I am loving this season of American Idol. They're really good this time round. Talent-wise, I think the girl who sang last yesterday, something McPhee, this other seventeen year old girl and these guys named Elliot and Chris are amongst the best. Didn't watch the guys perform today, so will have to catch the repeat tmrw.
People ask me why I blog. I don't really know why either, to be honest. In a way, people know what's going on with me. In some warped way, it's how I manage to keep in touch with people, and hopefully how some people manage to keep in touch with me. It's my own private sanctuary to vent and rant, and even though it's not private, it's just a small place where I can talk. And I like to talk. I think my friends will vouch for that. I like blogging. Don't think I'm going to stop anytime soon.
Anyway, I'll bet your eyes are paining if you have even read this far, so I'll let the visuals take over from now.
Chinese New Year Open House 2006

Albert looks disappointed! Haha. How much you lost?

The 'In-Between' table. Shave you all bald, then you know! =D

Sukkwan, Siokkwan, Mary and JoDong. The Mahjong pros; Dong excluded. Nyahahahaha. Watching the fella play is hilarious.

Esther, Sharm back from Swiss, Manda, Ashie and Karen, playing some weird translation game.

Stlx, Paul-y with his newly dyed hair [teehee :)], Heidi and Geline.

Mini-casino at my house just gets bigger and bigger every year. Good to see all the Taman SEA people again. It was like a big, big reunion.
Nostalgic moments of today: The good ol' Leo days. The years where I learnt to take on more responsibility, be more open-minded, and challenge myself at new things. And I met a lot of great people.

Leo Forum: Not a great picture, but it looks pretty cool. Like we're warped. Lol.

Leo Installation 2004: My last day as prez. Sighs.
I really should clean up my room. Like now. But I'm too lazy to move.
OH! The day after tomorrow's Saturday! That means I can finally go and collect my pay. Wheeeee. I owe Mary 5 bucks because she helped me pay for my beloved Prime DVD. Thank you very muchie, babe.
All right, so that's just enough random-ness for one post. See you guys, and be safe =)
Quotes of the day-
Wenxue: "Lee Siu Loong? Bruce Lee? Isn't that, like... some kungfu dude?"
Ben from student council '06: "Erm, excuse me? *points to list of things not to wear* What's hot-shorts?"
Heeheeheehee.
